Product Update: The State of the Cables Points Program
As the Points Program moves into its next phase, we wanted to share a high-level look at how it’s evolving and what participants can expect from the experience. From day one, this program has been focused on community alignment, rewarding meaningful participation, and activating the system-wide flywheel that powers Cables.
The Points Page is now active in an internal testing environment. While the UI will continue to be fine tuned and improved, the foundation is in place for what will become one of the key interfaces in the Cables ecosystem. This page allows users to track individual activity, stake assets, invite others, and build toward future rewards ahead of launch and TGE.
Stake-to-Earn: Turn Capital Into Onchain Utility
At the center of the Points Program is staking of liquid assets. Users can stake supported assets (starting with major stables and ETH-based tokens) to earn passive points. Each asset will have its own multiplier, and longer staking durations will boost rewards.
Users deposit into the system, choose a lockup period (or keep it flexible), and start earning points. The longer the commitment and the more strategic the approach, the greater the point accumulation and the user’s share of upcoming benefits.
This mechanism helps Cables build liquidity in a way that directly supports future trading, leverage, and market access on the Perps DEX.
Invite and Amplify: Share the Program, Grow Together
Another core mechanic is referrals. Once connected, users receive a unique referral link to share. When someone signs up through that link and starts staking or completing tasks, the original user earns a percentage of their points.
This creates a self-reinforcing growth loop – every participant has the opportunity to become an advocate. Users will have the ability to share referral links via X, telegram & email.
In the future, this model may be expanded to support targeted campaigns or region-specific initiatives.
Help Shape What Gets Built – Vote on Asset Listings
Alongside the Points Page is the Cables Vote Page. This is where users can express preferences for which assets should be onboarded next. Users will have the ability to vote on which liquid staking assets will be brought into the platform – examples can include major global currencies, gold-backed assets, or major commodities like oil. Each vote submitted earns bonus points. Users can choose and rank up to three assets per voting cycle.
Voting helps inform product and asset decisions, providing a signal on where to focus development. It also adds another layer of engagement. Every vote contributes to a user’s profile and point total.
Progress Tiers: Track Your Momentum and Signal Early Commitment
As users earn points, they progress through visible tiers, each representing a different level of early engagement and system contribution. These may range from entry-level ranks to more advanced milestones that reflect long-term participation. Tier benefits are still being finalized, but this structure introduces a reputation layer that ties early behavior to long-term value.
These tiers are not simply decorative. They will play a role in future access, campaign eligibility, and overall ecosystem involvement. Consistent participation will carry more weight as the platform scales.
A Foundation Built to Expand
What users are seeing now is the starting point – the current interface is a v1, but the underlying mechanics reflect the overall direction. The Cables development team is working hard and building a system that connects individual contributions to broader platform growth.
More assets will be added. New ways to earn will be introduced. Future campaigns may include liquidity goals, trading tasks, or regionally focused initiatives.
The foundation is designed to support expansion without abandoning the principles of aligned incentives and measurable contribution.
Where We Are Today
Thousands of users signed up for the whitelist. The Points Program is the first way to engage with the platform ahead of trading. For those already participating, thank you. For those waiting, this is the time to get involved.
Early actions today help shape what this system becomes tomorrow.
